Learning about the sexual and romantic lives of trans and gender diverse people.
Sex and romance are major parts of our lives. They impact how we see ourselves, how we relate to others, and they contribute to our overall health and well-being.
Given this significance, it is shocking how little is known about the sexual and romantic lives of trans and gender diverse people. We need reliable data that can be used to improve sexual health care, generate relevant sex education, support relationships, and guide policy for Australia’s trans and gender diverse communities.
Thank you to everyone who participated in The Australian Trans and Gender Diverse Sexual Health Survey. Recruitment is now closed and data analysis underway. Please check back in mid-2019 for the findings to be released or contact the research team for more information. The participant information form can be downloaded by clicking here.
This study is a collaboration between researchers, community advocates, clinicians, and health experts. It is a study led by trans and gender diverse investigators in partnership with their cisgender colleagues, coordinated centrally by the Kirby Institute for Infection and Immunity in Society at UNSW Sydney. Please do not hesitate to contact Denton Callander for more information or if you have any questions.
